MANIC PIXIE FESTIVAL

For this project, I wanted to create an event that combined my love for music with my passion for uplifting/empowering women. Manic Pixie is a 3-day long live music festival that takes place in Las Vegas, NV and has all female performers with different backgrounds, genres, and fanbases. The festival’s title “Manic Pixie” comes from the idea of the “Manic Pixie Dream Girl” which is a term that refers to a female character who’s only reason for existing is to teach a male protagonist life lessons. Naming the festival “Manic Pixie” was done as a way to “take back” this narrative and turn it into something new. This project's deliverables include a functional website, merchandise, and social media page. Test out the website here!
